Is horrible customer service the new standard for american companies?
Posted by: | CommentsI call several different call centers to make changes or corrections to a number of products and services that I pay for. It seems like Every call center in the country employs the lowest of the low from the first level to the manager of the call center. Some of these places, I know they are local, but they still act like common sense is a different language.
One example: I had my cable tv and internet cut off because I didn’t pay the bill. Then I payed the bill and got the cable tv, but the internet was still off. I called the cable company and spent almost 3 hours on the phone being transferred all around and even having to call back 3 more times. Toward the end, one “First level rep” suggested that I trade in my modem. Unfortunately by that time, the cable store was about to close in 3 minutes.
I happened to have a cable modem in the closet, so I tried to connect it. The tech support rep didn’t want to try it so I hung up and called again and got it connected.
Another time where I’ve had horrible service is from my bank. I signed up for a new checking account. The rep speeled my address wrong and signed me up for a credit card that I never asked for. When I got the credit card, I cut it up and I asked for more checks to be sent with the correct address. The new checks came and they had the same incorrect address.
I still have no ATM card and checks with the incorrect address.
I don’t know why we as americans take this shit! We should stand up and tell these companies to do it right or go to hell!
Lately, I’ve been getting horrible, incompitent service everywhere I go and I’m starting to think that we have accepted this for so long that companies are giving us the bare minimum and our standards have dropped to an all time low.
Anyone from other countries, please tell me if there is a place on this earth where service industries still take pride in doing a great job.

Using a Link Building Service to Drive Traffic for the Best Web Presence
Posted by: | CommentsThe internet thrives on interconnections, movement back and forth among websites and referrals from website to website. The speed and complexity is amazing, but it works so well. A searcher will enter a term and begin a process of “digging” that will multiply the information they can gather. The days of using heavy business directories, manhandling them onto photocopiers and piling phone books on office chairs to research purchasing decisions is long over.
The unique technology behind the internet has made the use of links (when another website connects to yours because of a feature you have included, such as an article, chart, spreadsheet or other piece of information someone has found valuable and wants to share) critical in marketing strategy. Deliberately including features and information that will draw the attention of those who will link to the site is now essential. Selecting a link building service that has the experience and success in driving traffic to the site is now something that deserves serious thought. High quality links have several features that make them high on the list of considerations: the more often a site is linked to, the higher in the search engine’s hierarchy it raises. Links are a sign of trust, a seal of approval from the web’s elite users that it can be safely referred to and used. It is like “word of mouth” advertising. The old saying is a satisfied customer will tell ten friends about a good experience with a company, and just as many about a bad experience. Gaining ten new customers is good, losing ten potential or current customers isn’t. On the web you need all the friends you can get, the competition is in the millions.
The best companies will offer a link building package that fits the businesses marketing plans and budget. A “mom & pop” business will want a website, but perhaps to sell only locally or to a more select audience. Global commerce might not be in their best interest and placing their links in a different group of search engines will be a good fit. They best choice is an affordable link building service that works with businesses their size. But an international company that will sell to the world at large will want maximum coverage and have the manufacturing, sales, administrative and shipping staff equal to the task. Their use of a link building service will be more extensive and aggressive.
New businesses are being started all the time, all over the globe. The rise of independent companies in regions that once knew only state run or limited business opportunities due to the government system has multiplied the opportunities for determined entrepreneurs to serve them. Finding them is what the internet does best. The internet never sleeps, and by having quality links that will attract a clientele the business owner would not ordinarily find through formerly traditional methods can only profit both buyer and seller. Using a link building company will pay off in ways you might not have yet imagined.
