Is Multivariable calculus even useful for a career in economics, finance, or business?
Posted by: | CommentsI am a freshman thinking about becoming an economics major, and I am really frustrated at what I’m learning in multivariable calculus. Not only am I struggling in it, but it consumes a lot of time, and I feel like I’m learning nothing that will be useful in life. Would it have been wise to stop at single variable calculus?
Is it a good idea to take linear algebra and multi-variable calculus at the same time?
Posted by: | CommentsI am an above average math student, but not a stellar one. I got an A in calculus 1 and an A- in calculus 2. I didn’t have to study for calculus 1 but calculus 2 required about 1 hour a night for me. I want to take the above stated classes together because it will allow me to graduate a semester earlier but at the same time I don’t want death by math. Thanks.
